When you see HSBC's job openings, you know the early stages of bank MT/Intern recruitment have begun. Plus, HSBC offers positions in many divisions every year, from investment banking (yes, very few investment banking departments have grad positions) to regular banking - they have it all!ย

More importantly, HSBC has finally changed their Job Simulation questions this year!!ย
If you've applied before (or know seniors who have), you probably know that the hardest part of HSBC's assessment is the Job Simulation! But you might not know that HSBC has been using the same Job Sim Source for the past 3-4 years! This means students who applied in the last two seasons have done similar questions and might have an advantage!
We have carefully studied HSBC's latest Interview Source and found that the bank has finally updated their Job Sim Source. Except for IBD, Markets, and Corp Banking Summer Analyst, all other departments are using new questions! So even if you've applied before, don't think you can rely on past experience for this year's Job Sim!ย
Also, as one of Hong Kong's top foreign banks, HSBC has many departments but also many restrictions on job applications and interviews. Students, please note:
โ You can only apply to one department. HSBC is very strict about this: We've seen many cases in past years where students applied to many departments, affecting all their applications! So before submitting your application, carefully consider which department you should apply to!
โ Don't apply for internships and Grad Roles at the same time: Generally, internships are for Penultimate Year students (graduating in 2026). Grad Programs are for Final Year students (or those who graduated only one or two years ago, graduating in 2025)

โ HSBC's recruitment is also on a Rolling Basis, applying early gives you an advantage!
